Work description
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS North East and North Cumbria ICB (the Relevant Authority), who are undertaking a competition to commission General Dental Access service and Urgent Dental Care services. These will be broken down into the following lots
• Lot 1 - Durham Central North • Lot 2 - Durham Central South • Lot 3 - Sunderland North (no urgent care) • Lot 4 - Sunderland South ( no urgent care) • Lot 5 - Darlington • Lot 6 - Berwick Town North • Lot 7 - Berwick Town South • Lot 8 - Carlisle • Lot 9 - Workington • Lot 10 - Copeland • Lot 11 - Cockermouth
The contract term is for an initial period of 7 years commencing on 01 January 2025, with an option to extend for a further 3 years at the discretion of the Relevant Authority and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance.
The closing date for submission of competition response is by 12:00 noon 08 April 2024.
