Work description
The current HCC Data Centre Core Firewalls reach end of life on 31/12/2025.
The goal of this procurement was to deliver a cost effective & supportable core firewall platform for at least 5 years in line with the IT strategic network roadmap, and account for potential future options to support this firewall solution, if they are required at any point throughout the contract term.
There are Palo Alto Firewalls already in use in the HCC Data Centre and Disaster Recovery site. Therefore, it was agreed that Palo Alto Firewalls should be procured to ensure integration with existing infrastructure and internal HCC technical experience
Expected benefits are: • Maintain security compliance • Consolidates technology • Reduces vendor sprawl • Reduced system complexity • Reduced support overheads
