PLACE501 - BSIP Real Time Information Electrical Connections

Description

RTI (Real Time Information) was identified via public survey as one of the top three improvements required to improve bus travel within the County. To enable the electrical installation of the units within the highway a HERS certified electrician was required. This needs to be completed within the life span of the BSIP programme which ends in March 2025.\r \r Real Time Information provides passengers with details of bus time arrivals from the stop in question and the next bus which will arrive at the stop which enhances the passengers' journey. Failure to deliver Real Time information within the prescribed DfT deadlines could have led to grant money being withdrawn. \r \r A supplier with the relevant certification was required to install RTI in the network and within the timeframe.
