MK5G Accelerator

The MK:5G project is an exciting new testbed in the Milton Keynes area, with the aim of developing new technologies across three core themes: Mobility, Health & Wellbeing, and Energy. The testbed includes the deployment of dedicated 5G infrastructure covering central MK including key sites (such as the Stadium, Bletchley & CMK rail stations, Hospital, Universities) and the creation of a data hub facility. The project is led by Milton Keynes Council and will involve working alongside consortium partners from prominent technology companies including BT, Huawei, CityFibre, TechMahindra, the Open University, and the Satellite Applications Catapult. The Connected Places Catapult is acting as the business growth partner within the MK:5G consortium.
