Carers Support Service

Camden Council is reviewing its current unpaid carers support services, which is due to terminate at the end of March 2025, with a view to recommission this provision.

Details of the services The Council is consulting on proposals for the tender of the Camden Carers Support Service. The service will provide support to Carers in Camden who provide unpaid care and support to an adult - who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. Supporting carers is a key priority at both a national and local level. Camden has approximately 14,605 residents who provided unpaid care. Working with our partners we take a neighbourhood approach, connecting people to the things that matter to them, supporting carers to have choice and control over the support they receive.
