UK Research and Innovation, Science and Technology Facilities Council had a requirement for site survey and design proposals for two physically diverse fibre duct routes on the perimeter of the ICL Boulby Mine site within which the Boulby Underground Laboratory is located\. Due to the complexity of the site and health and safety risks there was only 1 suitable supplier\.
