Work description
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (RBG Kew) believes that the first condition set out in Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 has been fulfilled in respect of the award of this contract.
RBG Kew has taken the decision to extend the existing Contract with The Australian Shakespeare Company for the provision of outdoor theatre services for a period of up to 12 months (twelve months). This is to enable RBG Kew resources to be diverted to procuring urgent requirements to deal with COVID-19 consequences; to relieve pressure on the supply chain while short staffed; and to allow us to focus upon business critical activities including caring for our world-class collections, where we have some of the world's rarest and most endangered plants.
RBG Kew intends to deliver replacement contracts as quickly as possible after the COVID-19 impact.
