## Description

The complex nature of graphite ageing has meant that ONR has needed technical advice and independent analysis to allow ONR to mount a constructive challenge to the licensee's safety cases and life-extension proposals\. GTAC is the senior committee that provides advice to ONR on graphite technology\. It is comprised of experts on graphite who work in the graphite area and industry specialists on graphite and functions by producing reports in response to questions posed by the ONR graphite specialist inspectors\.
