## Description

National Highways recognises the value that early contractor involvement brings to schemes in their early stages of development\. When required, we will bring in contractors to help identify a suitable solution, or to better understand the buildability and materials / construction methods available\. The expectation is for the Contractor to provide an indicative cost for 2 site visits and 3 workshops\. Any additional work will be instructed under a PMI/ CE\. Please note that ECI is to help inform a scheme and does not guarantee that the construction work will be awarded to a particular contractor\.
