Walton Breck Road Highway Improvement Works

Description

Liverpool City Council requires a supplier to provide works on Walton Breck Road, Pulford Street, Gilman Street and Back Rockfield Road, including: • Footway improvements, including widening through the narrowing of the carriageway to improve accessibility and promote inclusivity and pedestrian priorities. • Introduction of traffic calming measures, including extension of a 20mph zone • Upgrade of footway surfaces, including the use of elevated material palette and the creation of soft landscaping areas to support public realm enhancements. • Upgrade of existing crossing facilities and introduction a new facility outside of Anfield Stadium to provide safer crossing. • Upgrade of existing carriageway surface • Upgrade of street lighting and highway drainage infrastructure • Consolidation and formalisation of on-street parking, including taxi ranks and loading bays. • Modification and improvement of bus stops
