Highways England is looking to set up a contract for the provision of the following core activities:

1. Specialist air quality support to Highways England's Air Quality Team

The aim of this contract is to support the Employer:

- Through the provision of specialist technical support to help ensure air quality assessments (prepared by scheme promoters) are robust so enabling the delivery of major schemes at the earliest opportunity without detriment to air quality and without risk of challenge or reputational damage. - With its engagement and support to government's Joint Air Quality Unit (JAQU) to help deliver the Government's national air quality plan. - With the drafting of the Requirements & Advice Document (RAD), for inclusion in the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB), covering the air quality topic and supporting Interim Advice Notes
