Work description

WECA is procuring a third party organisation to produce comprehensive analysis to inform and shape skills provision across WECA, and inform the requirements of the post-16 education and skills infrastructure reflecting the changes and innovations to ways of both working and learning.

• Part 1: Development of new forecasts (Policy off), similar to those produced by working futures to reflect broad trends and changes to the labour market and new ways of working following the Covid-19 Pandemic. Setting out the innovations and drivers of change within and across sectors.

• Part 2: Using the outputs from the part 1 work, and focusing on the sectors that are important to the region in terms of growth prospects and/or volume employed, how do the forecasted changes and innovations impact the occupations and skills required by sectors and influence the way skills and training need to be delivered, both now and in the future.

• Part 3: An assessment to determine whether our current post-16 estate including previously publicly funded capital schemes, and infrastructure meets the needs of how the skills required both now and in the future will be delivered.

Additional information: Suppliers must ensure that they have the most up to date Invitation to Tender document by registering on the e-tendering system at www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk and expressing an interest. This will enable suppliers to view the latest documents and see any comments and discussions on those documents.
