Work description
The project objectives are to:
Provide an update to the baseline studies of the affordability and availability of insurance premiums for households and small businesses
Understand the impact of the introduction of Flood RE on affordability and availability of insurance
Identify and test a methodology that can be used in future follow-up studies
This project is being commissioned as a one-off project. However we expect to commission follow-up studies at regular intervals in future years to enable a continuing assessment of affordability and availability of insurance over time. There are differences in the methods used in the baseline studies so a key objective of this study is to confirm a method that is robust and replicable to be used in future studies.
