## Description

Birmingham City Council is looking to renew its Wide-Area Network contract\. In order to determine what approach we might take to the procurement and what the service delivery model will be, we are undertaking a market sounding exercise to elicit market responses and proposals for a future Wide-Area Network\. This market sounding exercise provides an opportunity and a framework to enable the data network industry to inform and shape BCC's procurement strategy, design and specifications for mid- and long-term Wide-Area Network provision\. BCC will be using its e-tendering system \(in-tend\) for the administration of this market sounding process and interested parties must register with the system to be able to express an interest\.
