Modernisation of Council Homes

Description

MDDC has a requirement for the replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, including the upgrading of the electrical circuits to its homes, throughout the district. The exact scope of works is covered within Section B and the Trade Preambles Standard Spec documents, and within, any property may include the replacement, renewal or part renewal of any or all of the building elements mentioned above. There is also a requirement to carry out a refurbishment/demolition survey of any property that is to receive works, which has not been surveyed previously, in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive's book Asbestos: The Survey Guide and HSG 264. The Contractor is expected to visit a sample number of properties in order to ascertain the extent of these works before tendering.
