Mid Devon Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document

Description

Mid Devon District Council is proposing to expand on existing planning policy through a new Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to provide detailed guidance on urban, village and rural design in Mid Devon and improve decision making on planning applications. The Council is seeking help from external consultants to produce a district-wide design guide Supplementary Planning Document. The design guide should provide useful, detailed information for all users of the planning system. It should aid design and building in a sustainable manner that respects the enduring character of the area. It is also intended to be used as a tool for Council Officers and Elected Members in assisting the assessment of development proposals.
