• Industry Landscape: (1) map out key subsectors, including property, life, reinsurance and speciality risks; identify the subsectors of most robust growth and the driving forces behind them, assess how these developments affect China’s risk exposure; (2) identify the leading players in different subsectors and their strengths, and the major risks and challenges they face; (3) examine China’s priorities for insurance sector as stipulated in Five-Year-Plan, their implications on business development ,and medium-long term impact on industry landscape. • Foreign Participation: (1) examine and identify extent of foreign participation in insurance subsectors; (2) identify those sectors that would benefit most from foreign expertise; (3) identify the key obstacles that hinder foreign insurers in China and what changes need to be made to overcome those barriers;.
