Work description
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council ('the Council') were seeking the design, supply and installation of play facilities within existing play zones at Popley Community Park, situated just off Popley Way to the north of Basingstoke Town Centre. The new project was for the upgrading and enhancement of the existing play zones through the delivery of improved play facilities to cater for the pre-school (under 5), junior and youth / teen age groups as outlined in the brief and should meet all current regulations and best practice.
The upgrades was to provide for safe, engaging and fun play zones with a 'wow' factor and was to be fully aligned to the commitment set out in the Council Plan to provide great facilities for its residents, and in accordance with the BDBC guidance notes and standards for the provision of children's play facilities.
This contract was awarded through a further competition using ESPO Framework agreement 115 outdoor playground equipment (lot2)
