## Description

Gedling Borough Council are looking to appoint a Consultant for the upgrade to our core Financial System \(Unit4 Business World, previously known as Agresso\) Unit4 Business World \(Agresso\) is the council's core financial system\. It was originally implemented in 2006 and has been upgraded twice since then, in 2010 and 2015\. Although the system is capable of delivering Debtors and HR functionality we currently only use the system for the General Ledger, Budget setting & monitoring, accounts payable and treasury management\. The current version we are using is Milestone 5 and this is no longer supported for development by Unit4, the newest version available is Milestone 7\.4 released in June 2019\. With a reducing workforce, Accountancy, as with all departments, are looking for efficiencies in both cost and performance across all areas\. There is also an increase in demand for financial information\. Utilising the financial management system more effectively could aid this\. Additional information: The Authority is using the In-tend e-tendering portal to conduct the procurement process \("the e-Tendering Portal"\)\.
