DigiSpin WM aims to create a shared Technology Transfer Office to better support the commercialisation of research across three universities. To achieve this, we need to understand the landscape of university spin-outs, identify best practices, and track our progress. The suppliers comprehensive database allows us to identify and analyse spin-outs from all three universities, benchmark their performance, and track their progress over time. It also allows us to investigate spin outs and companies in advanced manufacturing with digital innovation in and around the West Midlands. This data will help us shape our shared TTO model, developing effective support programs, and demonstrating the impact of our work. We will also get insights into the wider innovation ecosystem, including investors and funding sources, will help us connect our spin-outs with the resources they need.
