Share Our Shores Project 2024-2025

The provision of Share Our Shores project 2025-2026. The Essex Coast RAMS is a partnership project with 12 Essex Local Planning Authorities including Chelmsford City Council, who are responsible for mitigating the impacts of predicted house building in Essex and the in-combination effect this will have on designated Habitat Sites along the Essex Coast. Under the requirements of the Habitats Regulations, we must ensure that no additional recreational pressures (disturbance) takes place to the Habitat Sites as a result of planned house building as identified in each LPAs Local Plans. The project will manage the delivery of the RAMS mitigation package, co-ordinating the RAMS strategy across Essex.
