## Description

Design and Engineering is the Division of the BBC responsible for delivering digital experiences to the audience\. Part of the digital portfolio includes a range of audience facing native \(iOS and Android\) mobile and hybrid applications\. Design and Engineering is seeking to establish a short list of preferred suppliers for the provision of mobile development services, and associated services, to support their engineering efforts\. The benefits sought in going to market are: • Development of a specialised, focussed capability • Building deep expertise with the BBC Mobile Application Platform \(MAP\) and MAP component suite • Driving alignment on mobile application build and architecture approach • Driving development of modular, functional, capabilities by augmenting and extending the Mobile Application Platform and in turn, greater utility and reuse across the BBC mobile technology estate\.
