Work description
Broxtowe Borough Council (the Council) is undertaking this procurement to establish a contract for the collection and disposal of glass waste.
This contract is for the collection and recycling/disposal of mixed glass EWC No 20 01 02 from Broxtowe Borough Council's, Kimberley Depot, NG16 2HX (Waste Transfer Station EA/WML 43553). It is also for the collection and recycling of colour separated glass (However, this can be collected as mixed) from 15 bring recycling sites (14 public and 1 private).
The initial contract period is one year; the contract is estimated to commence 1 January 2024 and expire 31 December 2024.
There will be an option to extend the contract for period or periods of a further two years, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. Maximum contract period is three years.
The expectation is that this will be revenue generating for the Council.
