Fit and Healthy Service (Adult carers) in North West London

The service will offer the access of free exercise in the Westway Sports & Fitness Club and health education to carers with the aim to result in individuals reporting a better sense of well-being. The benefit of implementing the service includes a reduced risk of other health related conditions such as obesity, coronary heart disease and diabetes. The service will outreach organisations working with carers and offer structured exercise plans which will be facilitated by a qualified fitness instructor.

Additional information: A new contract is putting in place for a period of 18 months to afford the newly forming NHS North West London CCG time to agree the approach to commission this service at NWL ICS level in line with national and ICS guidance to ensure smoother, less complicated, non-duplicated service delivery.
