## Description

Craven District Council is seeking tenders from suitable construction contractors to act as Principle Contractor for the construction of a single storey extension to its existing crematorium chapel building at Skipton Crematorium Chapel, Waltonwrays Cemetery, Skipton BD23 3BT\. Whilst not grade II listed the existing buildings within the site are considered to be of heritage significance\. Designs have been produced and the proposed extension will accommodate an additional 20 to 30 people standing; with the addition of audio visual equipment they will be able to view services taking part in the main Chapel\. CDC require the contract to start 1st July 2023 with completion by end of August 2023\. An element of out of hours working will be required to fit construction works around funeral services\. It is essential that the operational service continues for as much of the construction period as possible between the hours of 10\.30am and 4\.00pm \(some flexibility on some days can be provided in consultation with the Bereavement Services Manager\)\. Any full closure periods are to be kept to a minimum\. Bidders will be expected to demonstrate their methods of work through their submission and will form part of the qualitive evaluation\.
