2048 The provision of: Bede Island LMS - Replacement of heating system with new VRF system, at De Montfort University, Leicester.

De Montfort University (DMU) seeks to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to carry out the following works:

The project consists of the replacement of existing heating system, services and systems with new VRF air source heat pumps system, and modifying the air handling unit and replacing the heating coil to run on the lower flow temperatures and the provision of new control system for the new plant.

There is a requirement to maintain the running of the existing heating services during the works and minimise any downtime, such that a temporary heat source will not be required.

There is a possibility the installation of the new VRF system to installed and completed by end of September 2023 and the removal of heating and associated radiators and pipework to be completed by the March 2024.

The intended key project dates are as follows:- Start on Site - August/September 2023 Practical Completion - 29/09/2023 & March 2024
