## Description

The Council is looking to contract for Support & Maintenance services ONLY for its existing IDOX system\. The Council has perpetual licenses to use the IDOX System\. The requirement is solely to contract for ongoing support & maintenance of the IDOX system to enable the council to access fixes, patches and new versions which is only available via IDOX\. This is not a contract to procure a system, it is to support the system the council already owns in perpetuity\. Competition is absent for technical reasons and the protection of exclusive rights-, in relation to Intellectual Property Rights \(source code\), IDOX do not allow 3rd parties to provide support & maintenance of Intellectual Property\. No alternative or substitute exists that can provide IDOX support & Maintenance\.
