Contract for the Provision of Services and Support to Carers

The provision of a support service for Wakefield District's unpaid carers. The service provider will be required under the contract to provide single, integrated support to adult carers residing in the Wakefield District including one-to-one casework support, information, and advice and guidance in a number of areas, including wellbeing, financial, and social support. The service provider will be required to host a number of peer support groups, and administer My Time Grants, grants to carer groups and Carers Personal Budgets on behalf of the Council. The contract will require the service provider to identify new carers, with continual engagement activities across the District, and Carer Support Workers based in GP surgeries, hospitals, and Connecting Care hubs.
