Street Sweepings Treatment and Recycling Services

Street Sweeping Treatment and Recycling Service within Norfolk, handling the WDA's Street Sweepings and process/recycle Street Sweepings in line with the service specification. A four (4) years and four (4) month Contract will be established to start 15th December 2019 through to 31st March 2024.

In Norfolk there is circa 10,000 tonnes of Street Sweepings collected per annum from the various district councils/Waste Collection Authorities, and it is now the responsibility of Norse Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) to dispose of this waste in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. All Street Sweepings in Norfolk will be collected by the various boroughs, city and districts own collection operations and transported to various NEWS organised transfer stations (or drop-off points) located throughout the county. This includes the onward disposal/recycling of any product or by-product that is produced from the waste.
