COMMUNITY GENETICS SERVICE

The overall aim of the Community Genetics Service is to improve awareness of genetics amongst the community and professionals, and ensure families affected receive the correct specialist support. The provider will develop a network of community champions and other associated initiatives to improve community awareness of this complex issue, including support services and referral pathways. This will include referrals into the regional Genetic Counselling Service which enable families at risk to make more informed reproductive choices and improve health outcomes.
