## Description

2\.6\.3 The external audit of the NDA Group Companies is provided by the National Audit Office \(NAO\), appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Act 2004, the founding legislation for the organisation\. The external financial audit of the Group financial statements is conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing \(UK & Ireland\), and includes an annual assessment of the significance of group risks and components in line with ISA 600\. This assessment informs the extent of audit procedures to be completed in respect of the group components\.
