2767/MH MFA Rollout for Students

In mid 2019 the University undertook a tender process to determine a solution for it's requirements in terms of a multi factor authentication solution (MFA). Following that procurement exercise, a contract was entered into with Academia representing Duo's solution. At the time the intention was to roll this out to staff members only. Due to the changes initiated by pandemic in 2020 including many more services being rolled out online, a decision was taken to introduce the same solution to all students as well. The University used the SUPC Software Resellers Framework Agreement, which allows direct award to the top ranked supplier which is Academia to buy new licenses from Duo and extend licenses bought in the original exercise to co-terminate at the end of 2025.
