Description
Colchester Borough Council (the Council) wishes to commission a contractor to construct and test an exploratory water well in confined Chalk to confirm the viability of, and to provide part of the infrastructure for, an open loop groundwater heating system. The borehole infrastructure shall be tested and, on completion of testing, shall be secured with a bolted flange plate within a secure well vault to enable the borehole to be reused for the final groundwater heating system. Further details of the actual requirements can be found in the specification/ Schedule of Works Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Expressions of interest closes at 17:00 hrs on Monday 29th January 2018. Tenders must be submitted via the portal by 12:00 (noon) on Monday 5th February 2018.
