Description
An experienced market provider is sought to develop and deliver a monthly food and craft market, for Cygnet Square in South Thamesmead. Cygnet Square is Thamesmead's newest Civic Square in Peabody's Southmere development. In Southmere a new community of existing and new residents are coming together, making Cygnet Square a key space to support social inclusion and community cohesion. The appointed organisation will work closely with Peabody and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a series of 12 markets between July 2024 and July 2025. The markets should run regularly and should provide a consistent offer of reasonably priced food, fresh produce, and craft stalls. Key Partners for the market programme will be Bow Arts, TACO! and the Bexley Library Services. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Work to be undertaken: July 2024 - July 2025 (with a review after 6 months in January 2025) We're seeking to establish a long-term relationship with a reputable provider, with option to extend the contract by a further 12 months. Subject to review, Peabody's requirements and the performance of the successful provider.
