Fully automated high through-put (up to 96 sample) nucleic acid extraction BioRobot with dedicated nucleic acid extraction kits and plastic ware to reliably extract high quality nucleic acid from a variety of cells, tissue types, bacteria and viruses for sensitive downstream PCR-based applications.
•The system should be compact and for bench top use. •Ideally, but not essential, the system should be also be compatible with samples already lysed or digested in commercially available RLT and ATL buffers. •All waste should be collected in a convenient manner to allow for easy disposal. • The software driving the equipment should be user friendly and intuitive and should allow for controlled user access, the use of barcodes, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) systems. Free upgrades should also be available. • The instrument should have an integral UV light to provide decontamination and prevention of cross-contamination between samples and a positive pressure system to limit the ingress of contaminated air. •Compatible with UK power supply. • The system should also have an option for additional warranty and/or comprehensive service package with a guaranteed 48 hour call out and repair service, and preventative maintenance visits.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
