Description
The Bigg Market Regeneration Project comprises the restoration of approximately 15Nr historic buildings and facades on the Bigg Market, Cloth Market and Groat Market, remodelling/improvement to the public realm within the Bigg Market, and improvement works to the former gents' public WC's to create a lettable space within the public realm. The tender documentation represents up to 17nr individual projects (16nr buildings and 1Nr public realm project) It is the intention that a single contractor will be appointed to carry out all of the works under an umbrella/framework contractual arrangement using the JCT Framework Arrangement 2011 as the basis of this arrangement. Under this arrangement, the public realm works will be let as a standalone fixed price contract between NE1 and the 'framework' contractor, with the individual buildings the subject of separate contracts with the owners of the relevant buildings, based on the parameters detailed within the Framework Agreement.
