GB-Somerset: For installation and maintenance of a tide gauge

Cefas is a multidisciplinary scientific research and consultancy centre, employing over 500 staff, delivering solutions to meet the diverse needs of public and private sector businesses and organisations active in marine, coastal, estuarine and freshwater environments. Cefas wish to commission the installation of a tide gauge mounted on the newly constructed aggregate jetty at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. The jetty will be used for berthing vessels and unloading construction materials. A tide gauge is required for navigation purposes to ensure sufficient water depth for vessel operations, as well as providing a long-term record of tidal elevation.
