Work description
NOTE: This notice was updated on 03 April 2019 for the following reason: Extension of the closing date.SOFT MARKET TEST Rochford District Council is undertaking an options appraisal for future leisure service provision at its leisure facilities across the District. The Council are seeking views from the leisure sector through a soft market testing exercise to ensure the outcomes and opportunities can be maximised. This is an exciting opportunity to explore options for innovative future service provision in the Rochford District. We are keen to work with an active partner to explore an outcomes based, commercially structured contract to deliver our health & wellbeing priorities through both traditional and non-traditional means. The Leisure Contract for the management of the Council's leisure sites expires on 31 March 2022 which means that the Council must review and appraise the various options that exist for the future delivery of leisure provision. This will ensure value for money and that the Council's strategic objectives and Business Plan priorities are delivered.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
