## Description

As part of the HM Treasury-funded National Core Studies \(NCS\) on COVID-19, the Health and Safety Executive \(HSE\) is leading a portfolio of research projects \(collectively known as PROTECT\) to increase our understanding of how the virus transmits in different environments and settings\. The research is intended to inform policymakers in making decisions to safely move society back towards near-normal operation\.
