## Description

The works comprise of: the Disability and Equality Improvements to communal areas of blocks of flats within the Borough of Southend\. Works will be identified through Access Audits and specific orders placed on a site per site basis\. Typically, the works may include flooring, mats, staircase nosing's, handrail protection, signage, footpaths, ramps, replacement front screens, powered openers, replacement door closers - this is a general list only and some sites may include low levels of works only\. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises \(SMEs\)\. However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement\.
