LCRCA Productivity Study

The LCR economy makes a significant contribution to national economic performance. However, the Liverpool City Region faces productivity gaps with the national economy​ and has seen low productivity growth over recent years. Therefore, as a City Region we need to understand, what exactly, is contributing to the LCR productivity gap.

As a result, we are looking to commission external expertise to enhance some of the quantitative analysis we have conducted in-house, with qualitative evidence. This will involve consultation and engagement with external partners and stakeholders to validate the work we have done in-house, whilst understanding in more detail, what the key drivers of the LCR productivity gap, could be. This will help us understand where we, as a CA and also as a wider City Region, need to focus future investments and interventions to narrow the productivity gap and ensure best value for money.
