Contract award for FCO Services - purchase of Land Rover Discovery 5 for British Embassy Bishkek

Service contract was awarded to Overseas Vehicle Procurement Service (OVPS) in April 2017 in the process of procurement new vehicle for the British Embassy Bishkek. This is a replacement of an Embassy pool car (procured in 2012) to a new one after 5 years of the vehicle's amortisation. The previous car was used during regional and in-country travels. Roads in country are of poor quality and most of regional travel go through the roads in mountains, quality of petrol is also not the highest one. In accordance with the FCO procurement policy Posts must contact the OVPS when purchasing flag vehicles and are advised to contact the team for information, guidance and/or a quote for other fleet cars which has been done. ​The purchase has been also authorised by the Regional Hub/RMU.
