To conduct dendrochronology (formal assessment, sampling, analysis and the production of a final HE Research Report Series report) at The Cock Pitt, a complex Grade II* timber framed building in Eton, Berkshire, at the request of Rachel Fletcher- Inspector of Historic Buildings & Areas for London and the SE Region. The work will provide independent dating evidence for the chronology of the building, which will inform decisions about current repair and refurbishment to ensure its protection for the future and its eventual removal from the HAR register.
