Description
The British Embassy in Seoul is looking to appoint an organisation to conduct research to identify digital market access barriers faced by UK companies who are looking to sell digital services to South Korea. Informed by interviews/surveys of UK businesses as well as desk research, the final report should include the following: Overview and analysis of the main digital market access barriers faced by UK companies looking to enter RoK (including, but not limited to, barriers related to data, legislation, business environment, and technical standards), and whether more barriers exist in specific digital/tech sectors, and to what extent digital trade agreements (e.g. RoK-SING DPA) have helped companies in other countries overcome existing barriers; Guidance (including examples/case studies) of how barriers can be overcome (if applicable); Recommendations on next steps for HMG, including which barriers HMG should prioritise to try to weaken/remove.
