RUG - Fire Door Compliance 2023 -2026 - AWARD

Description

Rugby Borough Council requires a competent person who is able to carry out fire door checks to dwellings, communal areas and corporate buildings, following the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 becoming effective from 23/01/2023, and the existing Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 legislation. Door inspections will include occupied properties that lead on to communal areas, and compartmentation fire doors in communal areas. It will also include inspections at the council's corporate buildings such as the Town Hall, Art gallery and Museum, plus others. Further to the fire door checks, the council will require its emergency light installations to be "flash-tested" every month, and its Fireman drop switches tested on blocks where they are installed.
