Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is seeking an experienced contractor to redevelop the Market Place in Hatfield. The scheme includes: o Improve general access and layout by looking at the removal of level change, steps and railings o Improve lighting and surfacing and offer new seating opportunities to make the space more inviting o Offer a diverse range of play and leisure equipment, catering for different age groups o Provide inclusive play, tactile surfaces and leisure options o Upgrade quality and location of vegetation, introduce more biodiversity and seasonal interest, whilst retaining the existing trees that give value to the space
