The Taunton Waterways Action Plan

Taunton Deane Borough Council is looking to prepare a Taunton Waterways Action Plan to produce a common aim for partners to revitalise the Town's waterways. Taunton has recently been awarded 'Garden Town' status as one of nine such settlements nationally, and the Borough Council recognises the importance of maximising the opportunities created by the River Tone which runs through the town and the Taunton end of the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal. The Action Plan will be an integrated masterplan with identified priorities and will also address maintenance and activities on the waterways.
