Specialist consultancy to assist with establishment of new ERDF-supported VC Fund of Funds

To secure expert advice and support to finalise the establishment of a new, publicly-backed venture capital holding fund in the North East LEP area, in succession to Finance for Business North East. Active engagement is required from an advisor with detailed knowledge and prior experience of such funds and, ideally, good knowledge of the relevant stakeholders in North East England. The consultant will work closely with the Project Delivery Team to support the later stages of fund manager procurement; complex financial modelling; creation of investment policy documentation; engagement with stakeholders on all aspects of project development and delivery; senior level presentations; negotiations with the European Investment Bank and other funders; creating governance structures and coordination of recruitment activities.

The precise time commitment may be subject to change, but as an indicative guide the minimum is expected to be 2 days per week from September 2016 until the end of March 2017.
