ESCC AC- Eastbourne Town Centre Improvement Scheme Works Package G3_2_ESCC_001 - AWARD

Description

The scheme is located in the centre of Eastbourne. The area of site improvement extends from adjacent to the Eastbourne Train Station; to the east of the Station Roundabout, along Terminus Road, then south via Bankers Corner to Cornfield Road terminating at Memorial Roundabout. South of the station the scheme extends along Gildredge Road from the junction with Terminus Road to the junction with South Street. The scheme also considers adjoining sections of Ashford Road, Hyde Gardens, Connaught Road, Ivy Terrace, West Terrace and Lushington Road. Construction of the Eastbourne Town Centre Improvement Scheme - The package of works includes relocating and installing new bus stops which will better integrate with Eastbourne Rail Station, improvement works in Gildridge Road and Cornfield Road, footway widening, and improved pedestrian crossing facilities; and new street furniture, signage, soft landscaping and street lighting
