Work description
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) are working for and on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement North East and Yorkshire (Yorkshire and the Humber) (the Contracting Authority) who wish to commission healthcare services for Aldine House Secure Children's Home based in Dore on the South West edge of Sheffield. The home can accommodate up to ten children and young people, male and female, from the ages of 10 to 17, who may be placed by the Youth Custody Service (YCS) or referred by Local Authorities via Section 25 of the Children Act 1989 - Secure Accommodation Orders. The home also accepts placements under the Police and Criminal evidence Act (PACE) 1984. The home is sometimes able to accommodate young People beyond the date of their 18th birthday if they are subject to a Youth Justice order.
